Associates at the Honda Manufacturing of Indiana, LLC (HMIN) began production of the all-new 2017 Honda CR-V on February 15, marking the first SUV to be built at the facility since the plant opened production in 2008. The plant is now building Honda's two best-selling vehicles of 2016 – CR-V and Civic.

Last month (June 2016), Honda associates were mingling with members of the local community in Tallapoosa, Georgia at the 10th anniversary celebration of Honda Precision Parts of Georgia, LLC (HPPG). The facility opened in 2006, with a staff of 179, manufacturing the old five-speed automatic transmissions.
In 2012, HPPG upgraded, and began producing the newer six-speed transmissions found in models like Honda Odyssey, Pilot, and Ridgeline.
