It isn't every day Honda enters a new segment of the automobile industry. This year, Honda has decided to expand its crossover offerings, with the all-new HR-V, a smaller version of its popular CR-V model. AutoGuide recently reviewed the 2016 HR-V, and found it to an affordable and practical crossover solution, particularly for those with active lifestyles. Click "play" in the video clip below.
The HR-V comes with a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 141 horsepower and 127 pound-feet of torque. It's available with either a six-speed manual or a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). AutoGuide recommends going with the CVT. Cargo space is generous; with the rear seats up, the HR-V has 24.3 cubic feet of cargo space, but with the rear seats folded that grows to a whopping 58.8 cubic feet, which is likely among the most you'll find in the small crossover space.
