Many gathered for the excitement of the unveiling of the 2016 Honda Pilot, no one was prepared for now an actual visual of what is to come following that release this summer. Previously, we have been teased with just a dark silhouette of truck image, leaving to your own imaginative desires of what the new Honda Ridgeline would look like. Would it be that of the previous releases? Or would designers veer completely off course (no pun intended) and give it a complete make over? Now we do not have all the complete specs of what is to come but what we do know is that it has seen a complete overhaul into looking like its' relatives, the pick-up. As seen from the drawing sketched by Jae Chung, the Ridgeline will have more of a truck resemblance than its' predecessors, yet maintaining the space, comfort and flexibility. Meaning, that we see more defined cab and bed areas giving it a look that does not stay in line with previous models.
It has not been confirmed as of yet, but judging from the sketch, the tailgate may have french door opening capacity as well as the traditional styled opening and indeed different from the swing gate style as seen with previous models. From the teaser one can presume that there is definitely a modern flare components added and we are expecting the same or near to engine as the Pilot, including a 3.5 liter V-6 with six and nine speed automatic transmissions. The Ridgeline is expected to arrive on the scene after the 2016 Pilot are available at the dealerships but indeed before the next generation Odyssey's (more goodies), so we can expect this to definitely be a Honda Summer.
