Proving itself to be a truly global brand, our mutually preferred Japanese automaker has production facilities that are situated worldwide. One such plant is located here in North America, in Calaya, Mexico, and was just recently constructed after an ample $800 million investment by Honda.

Speaking directly to the reasons behind opening said plant, the President and CEO of Honda Motor Co. Ltd, Takanobu Ito, explains that, "Our new plant in Mexico is based on the Honda Company Principle of maintaining a global viewpoint to supply products of the highest quality, yet at a reasonable price, for worldwide customer satisfaction."1

Breaking that down even further, the opening of the Celaya factory means that the Big H will be able to provide more units to North American consumers due to the locality of production. And that surge will begin with the Honda Fit.

It's true. The Mexican-based facility, which is slated to produce a tallied 200,000 units annually, has begun to assemble units of the Fit. Upon their completion, these vehicles will be available here at Honda of Concord and at other brand dealerships across North America.

Suffice it to say, that's exciting; of course we'd be remiss if we didn't point out that the Fit, and a plethora of other new Honda models, are already available at our Concord, NC locale. With that said; if you'd like to arrange test drives in those that call your attention, then we welcome you to visit our team at 7650 Bruton Smith Boulevard at your earliest convenience.
