Preview Safety in the Upcoming 2019 Honda Insight

There's a lot to be excited about when it comes to the all-new 2019 Honda Insight.

This upcoming Honda hybrid sedan brings a new style and stunning design, smart new efficiency engineering, and daily-driving performance to fit just about any lifestyle. The team at Honda of Concord looks forward to getting our hands on the first set of models when they arrive in the Charlotte area--but, we have a few more months to wait.

The 2019 Honda Insight isn't due to arrive in North Carolina until the end of 2018, so we don't have a full list of specs, pricing, features, or mpg estimates just yet. However, we'll go over a bit of what we do know: this new hybrid offers a ton of safety options.

All-New 2019 Honda Insight: Preview on Safety Features

Fuel usage isn't the only thing that makes a hybrid sedan a great addition to daily life--and the upcoming 2019 Honda Insight put a lot of thought into keeping its drivers safe.

Some available options in this striking new sedan include Honda LaneWatch: a small camera system mounted on the passenger-side mirror that sends a visual feed directly to the touchscreen whenever you signal a right-hand merge.

All 2019 Honda Insight models will also come standard with the full Honda Sensing suite of safety and driver-assistance features. The suite includes a Collision Mitigation Braking System (which can help you stop in the possible event of a frontal collision), a Road Departure Mitigation System and Lane Keeping Assist System (systems that will gently bump you back into your lane if you stray), Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow (a smart cruise control that helps you keep a safe distance from the car in front of you), and Traffic Sign Recognition, which can "read" and display speed limits and more.

And, of course, you can expect legendary Honda safety and reliability in this new model, as well.
