But before the firesuit is delivered, Mark Martin will wear the new, specially designed firesuit one more time April 18 at Texas Motor Speedway.


Mark Martin finished no worse than sixth in two events last season at the 1.5 mile track in Texas. He has posted one win, six top-five finishes and 10 top-10s in 18 career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series starts there.

I wanted to convey my excellent buying experience I just had with Chris Scotti and my 2010 Odyssey EX. My time has been very limited these days so without having the means to do this through email, It would have been hard to make a vehicle purchase at this time. Honda to donate funds toward the Haiti relief effort

After last Tuesday's earthquake, Honda is doing its part to help.


American Honda Motor Co., Inc. said its North American companies are donating more than $300,000 to the Red Cross. The company is also contributing portable generators, water pumps and other Honda products.

Use CARS for new cars

Considering trading in your vehicle? Take advantage of the CAR Allowance Rebate System (CARS), a federal program that helps the consumers buy or lease a more environmentally-friendly vehicle from dealers when they trade in a less fuel-efficient car or truck. The CARS is basically a $1 billion government program through which the consumers can get a $3,500 or $4,500 discount from the dealer when they trade in their old vehicle and buy or lease a new one. One main plus point of the program is that the consumers do not have to register anywhere or at any time for this program. Here are a few important points to keep in mind to utilize the benefits of this program.

Your vehicle must be less than 25 years old on the trade-in date

Only purchase or lease of new vehicles qualify

Generally, trade-in vehicles must get 18 or less MPG (some very large pick-up trucks and cargo vans have different requirements).

Trade-in vehicles must be registered and insured continuously for the full year preceding the trade-in

The program requires the scrapping of your eligible trade-in vehicle, and that the dealer disclose to you an estimate of the scrap value of your trade-in. The scrap value, however minimal, will be in addition to the rebate, and not in place of the rebate.

Last but not the least, the CARS program runs through November 1, 2009 or when the funds are exhausted, whichever comes first

Hi Mr. Purser, I recently purchased a car from your dealership after shopping at 6 other Honda, Toyota and VW dealers. In the past 25 years I have avoided purchasing cars from the frontline sales force.....I have dealt with the dealership owner, the general manager, the fleet manager and, in two cases, from the G'boro and Statesville auctions(through a dealer connection). In the Service Department I dealt with Danny Blackwelder. Danny always followed up with me and coordinated my service according to my time schedule. He provided outstanding service with a positive attitude and much initiative. Tony Stewart to drive Nationwide car for Hendrick!

Two-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Tony Stewart will drive to qualify the No. 80 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet built by Hendrick Motorsports for the Feb. 14 Nationwide Series race at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway. Stewart is the defending winner of the Camping World 300. He has won the season-opening event three times. If he qualifies, the race will be Stewart's first-ever start for car owner Rick Hendrick.
