Mission

The Matthews Alive! Festival is a Labor Day weekend celebration dedicated to the support of local non-profit organizations through music, arts and community involvement.


What Is This Festival?

The festival is a grand four-day family event. Expect to see more than 150 arts and crafts vendors, 30 food vendors, one of the largest parades in the Southeast, the festival’s annual quilt show and the Kids Connection interactive area, as well as a fantastic Midway full of games and rides for all ages and 4 Stages of free entertainment all weekend.

Why Have Matthews Alive!?

The festival exists to provide a venue for nonprofit organizations to raise funds for their groups, who do everything from collecting trash and operating game booths, to participating in the parade on Saturday. Since 1993, Matthews Alive! is proud to have been able to contribute hundreds of thousands of dollars back into the Matthews area. Presbyterian Hospital Matthews has partnered with Matthews Alive! to be the Presenting Sponsor once again this year. The festival and community is privileged to have such outstanding local corporate support. The 2009 Honda Pilot is a family-hauler

This is a note to thank you for excellent service provided 7/22 and 7/23, especially that provided by Blair Whitelaw. Being from out-of-town, I had my car towed in after service hours. Blair took me around to hotels nearby, but they were all booked. He persevered until we found a hotel a few miles away. I would have been stranded if it were not for him. In the morning, the courtesy van picked me up and the service department fixed the problem quickly. I will be moving to Charlotte, and now I know where to get service and buy my next Honda.
